At Benicia CrossFit, we believe stretching and meditation are an important component to improving fitness- especially flexibility & balance – improving range of motion, and accelerating muscle recovery. Our Yoga certified instructors are also CrossFit enthusiasts. They are aware of our daily programming and will tailor the Yoga sessions to compliment our workouts and focus areas of the body.
Here are a few important details:
- Yoga class is an hour long. You will stretch, strengthen, breathe, move and laugh.
- The room will be warm, to help facilitate movement.
- You will have the freedom to explore postures within the structure presented. Do what works for you.
- Sun salutations may be included as part of each class.
- A warm up, flow, balance, back and abs, hip opening and sevasana (rest).
- Depending upon the pace of the class, you may also get a bit of an aerobic workout.
- Dress comfortably, bring a yoga mat and a towel (you may sweat.)
- If you have a yoga block bring it, though it is not required.
